I am struggling with Leverage this year and I don't really know why. I seem to do better when I marathon the episodes, but I am no longer dashing to download the newest ep and watch it rightthissecondnow. Still, there are 4 more episodes to go and I am pretty sure that this will be the last season, so I will see it through to the bitter end.

Possibly my lack of enthusiasm is down to John Rogers, the show's exec producer, writing in his blog that the season finale will break our hearts. If it does, there's a baseball bat with John Roger's name on it that I plan to introduce to his kneecaps :p

That's a perfectly reasonable response right? Right?

*crickets*

OK, maybe not but dammit, I loved these characters. Better be the sort of heartbreak I can live with, Rogers! *shakeyfist*

Compy died. A friend opened it up to put in some more memory and the motherboard reacted by falling over with a sound roughly like "Acccck". Luckily said friend has spare compy which I'm currently using and which has my hard drive installed so I'm not bereft and PC-less. *petses the friend*

Went up to PC World, found a perfect replacement ...and it's out of stock. Gits. Gotta wait until maybe Wednesday. Bah. *sulks*

Also now need to sell or try and get the money back for the new hard drive/2 gig of RAM I bought to upgrade the Ex-PC. Should be able to get the money back on the RAM, still have the receipt for that, and it's still sealed into its packs so hopefully that won't be a problem.

Have a splitting headache, partly due to peering at spreadsheets all day, partly due to wacky sleep patterns yesterday and possibly due to lack of food. The latter two are easily cured, fortunately.

And I still have shiny Leverage DVDs to watch, so all is not completely made of suck :)

Comment to this entry and I'll pick three of your fandoms. You must then update your journal and answer the following questions:
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favourite episodes/books/movies/etc.?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think that more people should get into this fandom?

Now get your minds out of the gutter, nobody actually joined the Mile High club in this episode :) Reviewing because [livejournal.com profile] 803am bullied me into it, although she might regret it once she reads it.

Here Be Spoilers )

I like this new winter TV schedule but oh boy, THREE of my shows now air on Thursdays. I think I may leave Bones (Sky should start broadcasting it again soon) and just concentrate on Private Practice and Burn Notice. And eee! Burn Notice starts again tomorrow. Yayy!

I fully intended to post in my LJ yesterday but when I found myself dozing off on the sofa at 10pm, I gave up and went to bed. Slept like a log for 9 hours and felt mostly human when I woke up. I am mildly concerned with how much I'm sleeping. I honestly don't know if this is STILL fallout from the op and going back to work almost full time or a symptom of something else. I feel fine generally, but I'm sleeping for England and there have been times when I've slept for 8 hours plus and woken up feeling worse than when I've slept for six hours or less. 'Tis most confusing.

It's one thing to be nicknamed "Dormouse", it's quite another to actually turn into one :D

Anyway, I was very productive at work, managed to finish 98% of an ongoing job and plough through some very tricky invoices. Tomorrow I have to tackle another project that needs finishing soon, sorting out a new directory structure for our network drive. I'm just drafting it out and talking to other folks in the office at this stage, obviously the actual creation will be done by our IT bods.

Leverage tonight! Eeee! And guess who got another question answered on John Roger's blog? Heee! *preens*

Now I must squirrel out some food. I suspect I might be having another early night too, but maybe a smidge later, say, oooh, 10.30pm :D

So [livejournal.com profile] halcyon_shift posted the happy news that TNT had asked for six more Leverage scripts. I've been stalking John Roger's blog all evening and he's just posted up confirmation. However, the six scripts aren't being tacked onto Season 1, they're a theoretical Season 2, IF the show gets picked up.

This is promising but it's not a done deal yet and we prolly won't know until May. But still. Eeeeee!! *crosses fingers and toeses*

In other TV fangirling, BSG starts the last part of its final season tonight. I honestly don't know if I can bare to watch. I may wait until it airs on Sky...or I might just wait for the DVD release. I really don't know if I can bare the nail biting tension. And I have a horrible feeling it will all end badly. So I suspect I'll wuss out, read the spoilers and catch up when the DVDs are released :)

I'm off out tonight with the ever lovely [livejournal.com profile] thalinoviel. We're going over to Stevenage for a movie ("Bride Wars" - look, we felt like a laugh, ok?) and food (don't know where yet). Should be fun, haven't seen her since before Christmas :)

Leverage was excellent and well worth the wait. Best line of the episode "Did you just kill someone with an appetiser?" (The answer is "Yes, yes he did!")

Work was ok, I'm decently busy which makes the day go fast if nothing else :) Sanity is provided by kind people who put up with my emails (you know who you are).

And now there is going to be napping in the land of me, because we're not meeting until 7.30 and I'm a tired mouse.

....so allow me to rectify that grievous oversight.

*squees like a happy fangirly*

Tracie Thoms did an interview last week with Craig Ferguson, a late night chat show host. It was her very first late night interview, which is a huge thing for her because you have to be recognised as being a star or B+ list to get onto one of those shows. Hee! Well it was broadcast last night and awww!! She was ADORABLE! It was a funny, cute interview and she came over pretty well. Craig tried to draw some information out about whether she had a boyfriend and all she'd say was "maaaaaybe!" And was he an actor? "Maaaaaaaybe!" She's very protective of her personal life, I have NEVER seen any pics of her with anyone on her arm at all, so kudus to her for keeping her private life private. Even if it is maddening to nosey mice :D The rest of the interview was about the show and she even managed to get an f-bomb in past the censors, probably because it was such a natural part of the conversation.

In other fangirly news, the Leverage squee has bitten hard, I'm starting to jones each week for the new episode. This probably won't end well :P

Work's going ok, I'm having Fun with Spreadsheets at the mo. FogHorn's shown me something new she wants to me take over (*whimpers*) and I was working on it this afternoon....'cept I realised half way through I'd got it all wrong and I had to backtrack and sort it all out *sighs*. But I'm getting to grips with it slowly. It's tricky, because I don't have an accounts background. I may have to bite the bullet and get some accounts training, even though it's not really something I want to make a career out of it. But with the job market as dicey as it is, I may not really have that choice.

On the plus side, I must remember how lucky I am to HAVE a job :P

I was most peeved with the alarm clock this morning, it woke me up in the middle of a fantabulous dream. I was one of the Leverage gang and we were in mid-job! Actually that's the second really good Leverage dream I've had this week and on both occasions I had mozzarella cheese before going to bed.......*sidles over to Morrisons, buys large block of mozzarella cheese* What? What?! :)

This weekend should be fun. I've still got my Bill Hicks DVD to watch (I got sidetracked the last time I said I was watching it), Transporter 2 arrived this week, I've got the latest Sister Frevisse mystery fresh from Amazon and it's the NFL playoffs this weekend. *sighs happily* That should keep me out of mischief :)

The only problem I have now is what do I do first? Oh wait, I know! Eat food! :D
