Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

...to the Torchwood thing. After checking my account this morning, I decided that while I do have funds, I really can't justify a mid-week trip into London. Plus I'm knackered and another early night wouldn't go amiss. There'll be other things I'll want to see or do more and I'd rather spend the money on those when they occur.

Work was peaceful today, PartyGirl was out at a training course. I sort of miss not having her around but I don't miss BigBouncy constantly coming up to our end of the office and chatting. Also, I got to do some more fun statistics for TooTall in PartyGirl's absence, which prevented me from doing the Paying In Slips o'Doom today. Shame :D

Saw my friend Pauline from my previous job for lunch today. We try to get together every so often for a natter and this time we both had holiday stuff to recount, so that was fun.

The Mets lost last night, dammit. They've got to win the next two games now. *bites nails* And I can't watch because the bloody games are on too late. *shakes fist at stupid MLB and Fox TV*

Ah well, now for tea and NCIS. Hurrah!

I have won two tickets to a screening of Torchwood, the new spin off series from Dr Who, tomorrow at the Odeon Covent Garden, Shaftsbury Avenue. The event starts at 6.15pm

Being as how I haven't been able to clone myself yet, this means I have a spare ticket! It's up for grabs! First come, first served. First priority to friends on my flist but if you, my cuddly flist, know someone who'd love to go, then pass this along by all means.

However, I really need to know PDQ because I won't have the opportunity to check my LJ before work tomorrow and I'll be pretty much going to London straight from work. So please ping me here on LJ or text me (those of you that have my mobile number) if you want in!
