Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

Venus won Wimbledon in straight sets, 6-4 6-1. Bartoli did put up more of a fight than the scoreline suggests though, but some of Venus's returns were just unbelievable. She just played out of her skin - I haven't seen her play this well in years and I have to say, she deserved to win.

Definitely reckon Bartoli's gonna be a name for the future though - just give her a bit more experience of big, big games and she'll be there. Poor lamb, she was devastated at the end but she should be proud, she really did fight.

And the men's semi's were very disappointing. Roger won through in straight sets *yawns* and Nadal won through because Djokovic retired hurt :( Bah! That was shaping up to be superb match. *sulks* Oh well, hopefully the Men's Final tomorrow will live up to expectations.
