And it was ok, as Monday's go. I was so tired Sunday night, I was in bed by 10pm. And what was my reward for such behaviour? A really crappy night's sleep. I blame the clocks going forward, always upsets my internal clock for a couple of days.
One upshot was I was up by 6.45am and in work before 9am. One downside is getting into work early makes the morning really drag :) Still it was quiet today. It was Sicknote's birthday yesterday and she had had a shitty day, but instead of telling us right off, she came in in a foul mood and pissed everyone off for half an hour by being a miserable cow. Then we found out that none of her friends had turned up for her birthday meal yesterday :( So PartyGirl and BigBouncy who'd clubbed together with Gingermouse and Bullygirl to buy Sarah a present, did a big present presentation thing, and that cheered her up no end :)
Tomorrow I get to do something I've never done before - I cross a picket line. Well ok, I vaguely remember Oaklands College, many, many years ago having a strike but I was a student at the time so it doesn't count :) Tomorrow, Unison members are protesting at planned changes to the Pension scheme so it's going to be quite a major thing. But as I'm neither a permanent council worker nor a pension holder with the council, I can honestly say I'm not a scab :)
Right, bed for me. Later than last night but still early - let's see if I get a better night's sleep!
