Off out tonight to see the fabulous FA up in Northampton. Meeting a colleague from work who is driving us up there and getting fed by his partner before we go. Should be a great evening :)

In other news, I have finally had a mug of tea - the first since the Afternoon Tea yesterday. Wow, I really was all tea'd out :D

Rugby today but I'll have to tape it as I won't be able to watch. But that'll give me lots to watch tomorrow or later tonight, if I can stay up long enough :D

In work related news, I belatedly checked my bank account Wednesday night...and discovered that my salary for February was about 1.5 times more than normal. o.0 So I rang HR on Thursday and apparently Inland Revenue finally agreed that I'm paying far too much tax, put me on a more sensible tax code and instructed HCC to reimburse me tax paid in excess! Woo hoo!!! That's a relief, it should mean I get a slightly bigger chunk of my salary each month which will make a huge difference. *does victory boogie* *carefully squirrels a sum aside for the planned trip to Raleigh in October* *cackles*

Bloody Capital One!

So I spoke to the Collections Department last week, explained I couldn't keep paying large lump sums every month, and asked to set it up so that I paid smaller amounts every week. Certainly, they said, no problem. Although they did keep asking me if I could pay more when I'd made it clear £50 per week was the limit, I let them off.

Go to check my bank balance this morning and the ******** have taken £261 out of my account. Apparently, ringing up and saying I can't afford lump sums and please let me pay smaller amounts weekly DOESN'T MEAN that I want my monthly direct debit cancelled....

There are no words. Or rather there are, but I'm restraining myself. I have company :P

But it's ok, apparently, I can ring up on Monday when its cleared my credit card account and get the money paid back in to my bank. So now, with a balance of -£25, I get to enjoy my long weekend. Thanks guys. And having said all that to the stupid person on the phone, do you know what he asked? "So would you like to make another payment today?"

RARRRRRGH!!!! KILL MAIM FRAG!

OK, I'm calm now :P I shall soothe myself watching the furball maul his new plague rat toy and slurping tea and chatting to [livejournal.com profile] therealsherbs, who has arrived safely from deepest, darkest Wales. Well ok, she lives on a mountain, maybe "deepest" isn't entirely apt, but I'm reliably informed that it was very, very dark this morning at stupid o'clock when she left :)

*peers over her shoulder and keeps a wary eye out for sudden Bosses*

I've wangled internet access from work. *giggles* Not officially, mind you, but eh. Will have to be careful when and how I use it, but so long as I don't get carried away, I should be all right.

I can read LJ during the day! Heeeee!!!

This is my only comfort today. Today started badly when I checked my bank account. I have precisely £8.09 to my name until Friday. I'm really worried I won't be able to pay my bills at the end of the month. :( I may have to take some cash out on my credit card and put it into my account.

And then I got into work and faced the joy of the Paying In Slips yet again. I ranted about this job a while ago (I'll dig out the link to the rant later) and it's come around again as 2 months worth of slips got dumped on me on Monday.

But if I get bored, I can amuse myself by printing off 400 letters and stuffing them into envelopes. Or doing the archiving.

Gagh! Roll on Friday!
