Yay for Helen Mirren! *dances a happy dance* I know it was practically a mortal lock but still, it's a relief to see we were all right to predict she'd win, and deservedly so, too! The Queen is a great movie and I heartily recommend you all scamper out and buy the DVD on the 12th March *cuddles amazon vouchers and plots happily*

And finally Scorcese won Best Director. Now that he and Spielberg have got their statues, we won't have to listen to the frothing about "Best directors of their generation never to win". At least not until the next crop of "best directors of their generation" :)

And according to the amazing cleolinda, who blogged the Oscars, Ellen was a hoot as host. Good, I like her and I thought she'd do a good job. Must surf YouTube later for clips :)

Oh yeh, and I'm not at work again today. Worked out I had enough hours to take another day off so I did. I actually feel pretty good but over this weekend, I've had very little good quality sleep and last night I barely got 3 hours, if that. The sore throat's gone but I've been left with a very annoying cough, that annoyed me at 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am etc :P Ah well, I'm definitely on the mend so that's a good thing!
