Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

*collapses onto chair* Well, we've managed to foil doccy's cunning plan to kill us all by over-feeding...so far. There is still time for dessert to finish us off :D

First of all there was a huge breakfast of scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, prawns and bagels that we were ambushed with :) Mmmm, twas sooooo good!

Then he outdid himself for dinner. There was turkey and ham and roast potatoes and carrots and parsnips and two types of stuffing and two types of mini-sausages. Oooof. We are all now slumped in the traditional post-Christmas dinner position of semi-consciousness, watching one of lithium_doll's new DVDs.

Talking of which, I got some cool presents! I got oodles of DVDs - Pirates of the Caribbean 2, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban/Goblet of Fire, The Corpse Bride and the second season of Without A Trace. Hee and glee! Then there were the books - Bill Simmons "Now I can die in Peace", Kat Richardson's (someone I know on RAM) "Greywalker" and David Starkey's "Monarchy". I've already started the Simmons, which is a collection of articles by one of my favourite sports writers all about the Boston Red Sox and what led up to their World Series win in 2004, and it's excellent :)

I also got a "Learn to speak Welsh" tape. Hee! Can't wait to start on that one!

Spoke to Aunty Eve earlier and she's having a nice day. She went next door for Christmas dinner - she has lovely neighbours - and had a good time. Yay!

So all in all, it's been a great Christmas Day. Hope you're all having fun too!
