The first half of the day wasn't too hot. First of all, I managed to get no sleep - my fault entirely, for drinking tea at the wrong time. Eh. Woke up and then did the usual morning routine. Decided that I needed to call the stoma nurses and did so (more details in the medical filter entry I'll get around to in a minute). Alison rang back within five minutes and on hearing my concern, suggested I popped in today to see her on the ward. So I leapt into some clothes and drove down to the QEII.
I've now found a great source of free parking near the hospital, so at least if I ever go back for the reversal surgery, I'll be able to save my visitors a small fortune :D Anyway, I was soon back on Codicote ward - no-one recognised me, but that's not surprising - and Alison came by not five minutes after I got there. All is well, I'm happy to say, and I scampered back home again.
After lunch, I crashed out for a couple of hours, which took the edge off things but has left me still sleepy enough to sleep tonight. I hope :)
Spent a a frustrating couple of hours beating the snot out of the compy and finally got the K-Lite Codec pack re-installed after it occurred to me that could be the reason none of my DVDs would play :) Once I got that sorted, my day improved. 3 fan fics that I follow all got updated today, so there was happy reading and with the dvd player working, there was happy West Wing watching.
And now there's a new season of Spooks on BBC! Yay! But I missed the first 20 mins and was all "Woe!" because they don't repeat ep 1, for some stupid reason. They show Episode 2 on BBC3 the same night, so if you watch on BBC3 and miss an episode after that, you can catch the BBC1 showing the next week. Then I remembered that the BBC will almost certainly make all the episodes available to download and relaxed. Gotta love technology :D
Hey
jebbypal, Spooks Season 6 is available. Do you want to do a Spooks/Numb3rs swap again? Did that work out ok for you? Let me know :)
