OK, today was a slight improvement over yesterday, work wise. I'm still busy as heck and totally overwhelmed but the afternoon was peaceful enough and productive enough that tranquillity was restored.
The day, however, did not start well. In short, it started at the unholy hour of 5am when my body decided that whatever I'd eaten the day before, it didn't like and would I please go to the bathroom now and sit on the bog for an hour? *sighs* OK, maybe not a full hour, but it felt like it :P Suffice to say, by 6am, I was still wide awake and gave up the whole sleep business. Luckily I'd had an early night because I felt fine at work and not too sleepy. Early night again though, for obvious reasons :)
One bright spot on my way into work this morning - a large seven seater people carrier was in front of me in the usual morning traffic jam in Hertford. The registration was YE5 I CAB. *giggles* No, it wasn't a registered taxi cab so I'm guessing very large family and parents with a wry sense of humour :)
And now for something completely different. Stephen Fry is a genius and to prove it, go read this fantastic blog/essay about fame. Go on, you know you want to. I am so bookmarking that site :) Oh, it's a very long article but totally worth it, trust me :)

(no subject)
I dunno, there's something a little disconcerting to me about Stephen Fry having a blog. Somehow I always feel like he shouldn't exist outside of the 1940s.
Or maybe it's just the painkillers.
