Scribblings from the Mitchy Side

So I tried setting up OE - found I could send mail but not receive it. Snarled, and rang the Demon Helpdesk. Nice man reset my password and I returned to Thunderbird, tweaked the settings. Joy! I could download my mail! Snarl! I couldn't SEND any mail.

Still can't. I don't know what's wrong, all the settings are right, I've gone through every help file I can find to confirm it. Don't even get me started on me trying to figure out how I download mail that's addressed to "lesley@" and not "mitchy@".

I'll try again tomorrow. Thank gods it's Friday :)

Thanks to halcyon_shift, who had a spare server account lying around, I can now send out email via jusnoctis.co.uk. Demon still sucks donkey balls and will need to be yelled at, assuming I can be arsed :) But the main thing is, I can send out emails again! YAY! And receive them! YAY!

Over the weekend, I'll immerse myself in Thunderbird and do all those lil' tweaks you do to get things just the way you want them.
